Hi . Welcome to Lead By Example dog training.

My name is Pamela Purnell.  I train and work with dogs using positive reinforcement techniques.  I firmly believe that, as humans, in order to understand our dogs, we first have to understand them as the wonderful creatures that they are.

To expect our dogs to reward us with the behaviour we want for sharing our homes, we have to try to see things from the dog's perspective, as in order to change our dog's behaviour, sometimes, we have to change our own.

Once we see life through our dog's eyes,(or rather,his nose,) we can then begin to understand and enjoy the relationship we have with our dogs, building a bond that lasts a lifetime.
